Machine Learning for Refractories: New CD Lab at TU Graz

14.04.2023: Refractories are essential in steel production.  Many things have to be considered in condition monitoring: Accuracy, robustness against disturbances and adaptability in the harsh operating environment of a steel plant. The new CD lab relies on machine learning and neural networks, among other technologies, to achieve this.
Data-driven condition monitoring of refractory materials enables the reduction of energy consumption through optimal utilization and increases safety and efficiency in steel mills.
