Higher quality and lower costs of drugs: New CD Laboratory

3/25: Research for the benefit of patients and the economy at the University of Innsbruck

The team of the new CD Laboratory for Innovative Crystal Engineering Strategies in Drug Development, headed by Doris Braun and supported by commercial partner Sandoz GmhB, is dedicated to the investigation and optimisation of critical substance properties of pharmaceutical excipients and active ingredients. These properties are crucial for the production, quality and safety of high-quality drugs, so optimising them will make a significant contribution to the future production of even higher-quality and more reliable drugs that also incur lower production costs.
