The immune system reacts differently in healthy and sick people because, for example, immune cells can be reprogrammed. In the new CD Laboratory of Omar Sharif at MedUni Vienna with corporate partner Boehringer Ingelheim, these processes and changes are being researched in order to identify therapeutic target structures and lay the foundation for new therapies.
