New CD Laboratory for wireless networks of the future

15.11.2023: The Christian Doppler Laboratory for Digital Twin assisted AI for sustainable Radio Access Networks opens at TU Wien.

Mobile networks are used in a wide variety of settings, from railway carriages, whose design makes it difficult for the signal to propagate, to industrial plants, which present their own unique challenges. In order to contribute to progress in these and many other scenarios, Head of Laboratory Philipp Svoboda and his team at the new CD Laboratory, supported by commercial partners A1 Telekom Austria AG, Nokia Solutions and Networks Deutschland GmbH & Co KG, and ÖBB-Personenverkehr Aktiengesellschaft, are laying the foundations for learning and updating methods to increase the efficiency, sustainability and reliability of wireless networks!
