6/25: 3D printing to combat muscle defects: New JR Centre

Head of Centre Jaroslaw Jacak and his team, supported by commercial partners Particle Metrix GmbH and Innovacell GmbH, are working on a futuristic-seeming undertaking at the new JR Centre for Materials Engineering in Soft Tissue Regeneration at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria: Their research is set to make an important contribution to the transfer of 3D printing and implantation of artificial biological tissue into medical practice – a principle that will offer numerous new possibilities for the (personalised) treatment of patients suffering from organ failure, tissue damage or degenerative diseases!
