New CD Laboratory: Digital Twins for Distributed Parametric Systems

At first glance, fuel cells and the production of elastomers do not have much in common – but the mathematics behind the processes is similar. This means that the challenges involved in developing digital twins are similar for both, and the new CD laboratory at TU Wien can work on the fundamentals for both.

This demonstrates once again the diverse applicability of basic research – new knowledge is the basis for progress in a wide variety of areas.
