Obesity-related diseases are a major risk to human health.

Adipositas tissue ist not just a fat reservoir, but a key endocrine organ that regulates whole-body metabolic homeostasis.

Anna Gemza from the CD Laboratory for Immunometabolism and Systems Biology of Obesity-Related Diseases at MedUni Wien explains the connections of Obesity, death of fat cells, metabolic inflammation and various medical complications in this contribution to the CDG Science Slam.
