New CD Laboratory strives to improve diagnoses via MRI

30.03.2023: Magnetic resonance-based biomarkers play an important role in medical diagnostics, as they make it possible to detect numerous diseases long before the first symptoms appear using non-invasive MR imaging techniques, which in turn allows therapies to be carried out early and efficiently.

In order to enable even better diagnoses in the future, for example in the areas of tumours, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis or arthrosis, the CD Laboratory for MR Imaging Biomarkers headed by Wolfgang Bogner at the Medical University of Vienna is researching new MRI methods, which in turn use new imaging biomarkers in patient care: The cooperation with the commercial partners Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics GmbH, Vitaflo Deutschland GmbH and Brainlab AG shall ensure that the research results can be translated into therapies and procedures as quickly as possible!
