Dr. Franz Androsch is Head of Research & Development and Innovation for the voestalpine and has been Vice President of the CDG for many years.
On the evening of September 20, 2023, he was awarded the Grand Decoration of Honour in Silver for Services to the Republic of Austria by Martin Kocher, Federal Minister of Labor and Economy. This honors his extraordinary economic achievements and services for voestalpine and, beyond that, for Austria as a research location.
His significant achievements include the adaptation and reorganization of voestalpine's innovation process, successful cooperation with scientific partners in basic and applied research, the digitalization of production processes, and decisive progress in the decarbonization of steel production.
The Christian Doppler Research Association warmly congratulates voestalpine on this highly deserved honor and thanks them for their many years of very productive cooperation!
